Dave Bradford
CEO
Dave Bradford is a veteran of leading people and building operational and fiscal strength for companies experiencing dramatic change such as extraordinarily high growth. Dave’s successes are derived by facilitating trust, strengthening relationships, and building customer confidence.
Dave joined Certus Pest Control as Chief Financial Officer in September 2021, and was appointed to CEO in July, 2022. He brings over 20 years of experience working with high growth route-based service companies such as pest control.
Dave is known for his hands-on leadership style and has held management positions with companies such as Environmental Pest Service, Spirit Airlines, United Maritime Group and Tupperware Brands Corporation before joining Certus.
Dawn Hammond
Chief human resource officer
Dawn Hammond has always been drawn to working with people. She loves finding out what makes them tick and helping them grow and develop into their best selves. She believes the job of a leader is to find out what our people need to be successful and give it to them!.
As Chief Human Resource Officer at Certus, Dawn is responsible for leading Certus’s overall human resources strategy, talent acquisition, leadership and team member development, compensation and benefits, HR operations and technology as well as compliance and team member relations. As CHRO she has changed the function, impact, and culture of HR across the business and has been exceptional in her ability to assess and resolve a wide range of human capital issues.
Dawn began her career in Human Resources in 1998 and over the course of the last 25 years has worked in multiple industries with the last 5 years focused on Pest Control. When she's not busy helping others, Dawn enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and watching beautiful sunsets around Tampa Bay. Growing up on a dairy farm, Dawn learned anything worth having was worth working for. One of her favorite quotes is from Michele Ruiz “If people are doubting how far you can go, go so far that you can’t hear them anymore!”
David Joles
Senior Vice President of Operations
David Joles is the VP of Operations - East at Certus. He's been in the pest control industry for over 30 years, with experience working at Terminix and Orkin. David has a bachelor’s in organizational management, which coupled with his extensive experience, gives him the skills to lead team members and help them develop and grow.
A black-belt in Tae Kwon Do and Aikido, David’s 45 years of practice, teaching, and competition in martial arts have helped him cultivate both discipline and drive – critical skills for leading excellent operational teams. His favorite days are spent working along side his team members, learning from them, and growing the business.
A strong believer in continuous learning, David is expanding his martial arts skills by studying Wing Chun. When he does have down time, David enjoys hanging out with his wife, two daughters, and many pets watching college football.
Eric Chavez
Vice President of Operations – west
Eric Chavez has been in the pest control industry for 27 years and has worn many hats throughout his career, including service delivery, customer service, sales, and leadership. He's a firm believer that helping team members develop is the key to loyalty and company success.
One of Eric's career highlights was helping his company expand and training the first Branch Manager for the Asian Continent. Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and two grandchildren, along with traveling to watch his beloved Chicago Bears play football.
His favorite part of the job is being in the field collaborating with his team - where all the magic of a well-run business happens! Something you’d never guess about Eric is that he’s more than just a football fan. Before finding his calling in the pest industry, he once tried out for the Los Angeles Rams!
